French Onion Beef Stroganoff
Garlic Roasted Broccoli
Ingredients
- ¼ cup butter
- 3 sweet onions, thinly sliced
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper
- 1 (14.5-oz) can beef broth
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (16-oz) pkg fettuccine
- 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions, and cook, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes or until very tender.
- Remove from skillet, and set aside.
- Cook ground beef, mushrooms, and garlic in same skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain, and return to skillet.
- Stir in flour, thyme, salt and pepper; cook, stirring 2 minutes.
- Add broth, Worcestershire sauce, and onions; cook, stirring occasionally, 8 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions.
- Add pasta and sour cream to beef mixture, stirring to combine.
- Preheat broiler.
- Sprinkle top of beef mixture with cheese; broil 5 to 6 minutes or until cheese is melted and browned.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Spread broccoli on a large baking sheet and toss with garlic.
- Drizzle with oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake 15 minutes or until crisp-tender.
