Creamy Bow-Tie Pasta with Ham

Ingredients

  • 6 oz bow-tie pasta
  • ½ cup frozen peas
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1½ Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • ⅛ tsp white pepper
  • ¾ cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 cup chopped cooked ham
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, adding peas and bell pepper during last 3 minutes of cooking; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan. Add oil, garlic, cream, milk, and white pepper, and bring to a simmer. Cook 2 minutes, stirring often.
  3. Stir in ¼ cup Parmesan cheese; simmer 8 to 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in pasta mixture, ham, and salt. Sprinkle with ½ cup cheese; serve immediately.

  • ¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can whole green beans, drained
  • 4 slices bacon

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Combine brown sugar, butter, and garlic powder.
  3. Place beans in an 8-inch square baking dish. Pour butter mixture over beans, and top with bacon.
  4. Bake 25 minutes.
