Creamy Bow-Tie Pasta with Ham
Kids’ Favorite Green Beans
Ingredients
- 6 oz bow-tie pasta
- ½ cup frozen peas
- ¼ cup finely chopped red bell pepper
- 1½ Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup milk
- ⅛ tsp white pepper
- ¾ cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
- 1 cup chopped cooked ham
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions, adding peas and bell pepper during last 3 minutes of cooking; drain.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan. Add oil, garlic, cream, milk, and white pepper, and bring to a simmer. Cook 2 minutes, stirring often.
- Stir in ¼ cup Parmesan cheese; simmer 8 to 10 minutes.
- Stir in pasta mixture, ham, and salt. Sprinkle with ½ cup cheese; serve immediately.

- ¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 1 (14.5-oz) can whole green beans, drained
- 4 slices bacon
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Combine brown sugar, butter, and garlic powder.
- Place beans in an 8-inch square baking dish. Pour butter mixture over beans, and top with bacon.
- Bake 25 minutes.
