Sausage and Cheese Ravioli

Ingredients

  • 1 (20-oz) pkg refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 1 lb ground sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp bottled minced garlic
  • 2 (14.5-oz) cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced fresh basil
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 (5-oz) container freshly shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, cook sausage, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until sausage is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
  3. Stir in tomatoes and cream; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  4. Stir in basil and red pepper; add ravioli, tossing to coat.
  5. Sprinkle with cheese.

  • 1 (20-oz) pkg frozen broccoli spears
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook broccoli according to package directions; toss with butter.
  2. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
