Grilled Ground Beef-Chorizo Burgers
Oven Fries and Ranch-Style Beans
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ lb raw chorizo sausage
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp oil
- Curly leaf lettuce
- 2 medium-size tomatoes, thickly sliced
- Small dill pickles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Combine ground beef, chorizo, onion, garlic, salt and pepper in a large bowl; mix just until blended.
- Shape beef mixture into 6 patties. Place on a grill rack rubbed with oil.
- Grill 5 minutes per side or until done.
- Assemble burgers with sliced tomato (as the bun), lettuce and patties; garnish with pickles, if desired.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 lb potatoes, sliced into fries
- 3 egg whites
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 2 (15-oz) cans Ranch-style beans
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Toss fries with egg whites and place on sprayed baking pan in a single layer if possible.
- Sprinkle with seasoned salt. Bake 30 minutes.
- Heat beans to serve on the side.
