Grilled Steak Salad with Homemade Ranch

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb top sirloin steak, trimmed
  • 2 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 3 ears corn, husks and silks removed
  • 1 (3-count) pkg romaine lettuce hearts, chopped
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ⅓ cup buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or use 1 tsp dried)
  • 1 tsp dried dilll (or use 1 Tbsp chopped fresh)
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp garlic salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Sprinkle steak with steak seasoning.
  3. Grill steak, covered with grill lid, 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Grill corn, covered with grill lid, 5 minutes per side or until tender.
  4. Let steak stand 10 minutes; cut into 1-inch pieces. Cool corn, and cut kernels from cobs.
  5. Toss together lettuce, bacon, tomatoes, onion, and corn in a large bowl.
  6. Whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, parsley, dill, lemon juice, garlic salt and pepper in a small bowl. Drizzle over salad; toss.
  7. Divide salad among serving plates; top with steak.
