Cheesy Manicotti with Beefy Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-oz) pkg manicotti shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (24-oz) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 (12-count) pkg mozzarella string cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  3. Meanwhile, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
  4. Stir in pasta sauce.
  5. Spoon half of meat mixture into a greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish.
  6. Stuff 1 string cheese into each cooked manicotti shell; arrange in a single layer over meat sauce.
  7. Pour remaining meat sauce over pasta; sprinkle with cheese.
  8. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
