Beef, Broccoli, and Spinach Pasta Bake
Chopped Italian Salad
Ingredients
- ½ (16-oz) box ziti
- ½ (1-lb) pkg ground beef
- ½ cup chopped sweet onion
- ½ (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 (14.5-oz) can chicken broth
- 3 cups chopped baby spinach
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ Tbsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain, and set aside.
- Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat stirring until beef is browned and crumbly; drain, and return to skillet.
- Add broccoli; cook, stirring 1 minute.
- Add flour, and cook, stirring, 2 minutes.
- Gradually stir in broth and spinach; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Stir in cheese.
- Add mustard, salt, pepper and reserved pasta; spoon into a greased 9-inch baking dish. Bake 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
