Meatballs in Mushroom Gravy

Bow-Tie Pasta and Steamed Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 (20-oz) pkg frozen beef meatballs
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook meatballs according to package directions; set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add mushrooms, onion and garlic. Cook, stirring, 8 minutes or until tender.
  3. Add flour; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually stir in broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Add meatballs to skillet, and cook, stirring occasionally until gravy is thickened.
  6. Serve over pasta.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg bow-tie pasta
  • 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
  • ¼ cup water

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Place asparagus in a microwave-safe dish; add water. Cover, and microwave on HIGH 3 to 4 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  3. Drain, and season to taste.
