Cheater's Lasagna
Gooey Chewy BrowniesIngredients
- 8 oz wide egg noodles
- ¾ lb ground beef
- 1 lb sweet Italian sausage, casings removed (or use all ground beef)
- 1½ to 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 (24-oz) jar favorite pasta sauce
- 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 (8-oz) block mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
- Meanwhile, cook beef, sausage and seasoning in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain, return to pan, and stir in pasta sauce and tomato sauce.
- Combine noodles and cottage cheese; stir into beef mixture.
- Spoon into a greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish or a large cast-iron skillet; sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake 15 minutes or until bubbly.

- 1 cup butter
- 2 (4-oz) bars unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 5 large eggs
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1½ cups packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅛ tsp salt
- Powdered sugar (optional)
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 13-x 9-inch pan with foil, letting excess hang over sides of pan. Coat foil with baking spray with flour.
- Melt butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Beat eggs, sugars and vanilla at medium-high speed with a mixer 5 minutes or until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add flour and salt, beating until smooth.
- Gradually beat in chocolate mixture.
- Pour batter into pan.
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely.
- Using foil as handles, lift brownies from pan, and cut into bars; sprinkle with powdered sugar.
