Brown Sugar Baked Apples
Ingredients
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ½ cup old-fashioned oats
- ½ cup raisins
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- 6 Fuji apples
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 1 cup apple cider
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Stir together brown sugar, pecans, oats, raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Carefully scoop out core from top of each apple; place apples, cut side up, in a baking dish.
- Spoon brown sugar mixture into center of each apple, pressing down firmly; place 1 Tbsp butter over each filled apple.
- Pour cider into baking dish; cover dish with foil, and bake 30 minutes.
- Uncover, and bake 15 minutes longer or until apples are tender and topping is browned. Serve warm.
