Cheesy Italian Casserole

Crouton Caesar and Carrot Sticks

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 (24-oz) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
  3. Add pasta sauce, and cook until thoroughly heated.
  4. Spread mixture in a greased 9-inch baking dish.
  5. Stir together 1 cup mozzarella cheese and sour cream; spread over beef.
  6. Unroll crescent dough and arrange over cheese mixture to form a crust; sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese.
  7. Bake 20 minutes or until browned.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (22.25-oz) pkg Caesar salad kit
  • 1 (5-oz) pkg croutons
  • 4 carrots

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss together salad kit ingredients; sprinkle with extra package of croutons before serving.
  2. Peel carrots; cut into sticks, and chill until ready to serve.
