Italian-Marinated Sirloin Steak

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb top sirloin steak, trimmed
  • ½ cup light Italian dressing
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Place steak and dressing in a large zip-top plastic freezer bag. Seal and turn to coat. Chill 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat broiler.
  3. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Place steak on a broiler rack coated with cooking spray; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Broil 5 to 7 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
  5. Let stand 5 minutes; thinly slice across the grain.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2¼ lb small red potatoes, cut in half
  • 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp grated lemon rind
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Arrange potatoes in a large steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 6 minutes.
  2. Add broccoli to potatoes. Cover and steam 6 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  3. Toss vegetables with remaining ingredients in a large bowl.
