Italian-Marinated Sirloin Steak
Red Potato and Broccoli Toss
Ingredients
- 1½ lb top sirloin steak, trimmed
- ½ cup light Italian dressing
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Place steak and dressing in a large zip-top plastic freezer bag. Seal and turn to coat. Chill 8 hours or overnight.
- Preheat broiler.
- Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Place steak on a broiler rack coated with cooking spray; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Broil 5 to 7 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
- Let stand 5 minutes; thinly slice across the grain.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2¼ lb small red potatoes, cut in half
- 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp grated lemon rind
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- ¾ tsp salt
- ¾ tsp pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Side Dish Instructions
- Arrange potatoes in a large steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 6 minutes.
- Add broccoli to potatoes. Cover and steam 6 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Toss vegetables with remaining ingredients in a large bowl.
