Meat Loaf Burgers with Tomato Gravy

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb ground beef
  • 2 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can fire-roasted diced tomatoes with roasted garlic and onion
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • ½ Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Shape beef into 2 patties; sprinkle with steak seasoning.
  2. Cook patties in a skillet over medium heat to desired doneness. Remove from skillet, and keep warm; wipe skillet clean.
  3. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat; add flour, and cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in tomatoes and broth; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in Worcestershire.
  5. Return burgers to skillet; cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (5-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Whisk together lemon juice, oil, mustard, and garlic in a bowl until blended.
  2. Add lettuce; toss. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
