Pub Cheese Beef Sliders

Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp salted butter
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 2 lb ground beef
- 8 slices thick-sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1½ Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 1 (8-oz) carton sharp Cheddar pub cheese, softened
- 18 miniature pretzel buns, halved
- ½ (12-oz) bottle whole-grain mustard
- 3 cups arugula
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add onions, and cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Cover, and cook, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes or until very tender .
- Uncover, increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring frequently, 15 minutes or until onions are caramel colored. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Meanwhile, stir together beef, bacon, and seasoning. Shape into 18 small patties. Cook patties in a large skillet over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes per side or until no longer pink.
- Top each patty with pub cheese, and let stand 1 minute or until cheese begins to melt.
- Serve patties on buns with mustard, arugula, and caramelized onions.
