Meat Loaf Burgers with Tomato Gravy
Roasted Smashed Potatoes
Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef
- 2 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 (14.5-oz) cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes
- ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Shape beef into 6 patties, and sprinkle with steak seasoning.
- Cook patties in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Remove from skillet, and wipe skillet clean.
- Melt butter in skillet over medium heat; add flour, and cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
- Stir in tomatoes and broth; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in Worcestershire.
- Return patties to skillet; cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 lb red potatoes, cut in half
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Bring potatoes and water to cover to a boil; simmer 12 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain potatoes; pat dry.
- Toss potatoes with oil, salt and pepper; arrange on a rimmed baking sheet. Smash potatoes gently using the heel of your hand or a spatula.
- Bake potatoes 8 to 10 minutes per side or until outsides are crisp.
