Loaded Waffle Fries
Apple SaladIngredients
- 1 (22-oz) pkg frozen waffle fries
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 1 (1.0-oz) pkg taco seasoning mix
- ¼ cup water
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
- 1 (8-oz) container refrigerated guacamole
- ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 (16-oz) container refrigerated salsa
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Arrange fries in a single layer on a greased rimmed baking sheet.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and crisp; season with salt and pepper.
- Meanwhile, cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
- Stir in taco seasoning mix and water; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or until very thick.
- Spoon meat mixture over fries; sprinkle with cheese.
- Return fries to oven; bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
- If desired, top with sour cream, guacamole, cilantro and salsa.
- Serve loaded fries with Ranch dressing, queso dip or ketchup.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 Braeburn or Fuji apples, finely chopped
- ¼ cup chopped celery
- ¼ cup raisins (or dried cranberries)
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp honey
Side Dish Instructions
- Combine apples, celery and raisins in a bowl.
- Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice and honey in a small bowl; add to fruit, and toss.
- Chill until ready to serve.
