Grilled Beefy Gyro Salad with Pita Croutons

Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef
- 2 tsp Greek seasoning
- 1 (12-oz) pkg pita rounds
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 (10-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 lb tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 (5.3-oz) carton Greek yogurt
- 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp dried dill
- ¼ tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ½ cup balsamic vinaigrette
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Combine ground beef and Greek seasoning; shape into 6 patties.
- Grill patties, 6 to 7 minutes per side or until cooked through.
- Brush pitas with oil, and grill, 3 to 4 minutes or until browned and slightly crisp; break or tear into large pieces.
- Combine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and onion in a large bowl.
- Arrange broken pitas on serving plates; top with salad.
- Crumble burgers into large pieces and place over salad.
- Whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, dill, salt, pepper, and sugar; dollop over salads and drizzle with vinaigrette.
