Quick Pasta with Bacon and Cream Sauce
Italian Salad with Plums
Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg fettuccine
- 10 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (10-oz) pkg spinach
- 1 (8-oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup thinly sliced fresh basil
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain, reserving 1 cup pasta water.
- Cook bacon in a large Dutch oven over medium heat until crisp; using a slotted spoon, remove bacon from pan and drain on paper towels, reserving 2 Tbsp drippings in pan.
- Add garlic to drippings and cook over medium heat 30 seconds. Add spinach, stirring until wilted.
- Add cream cheese and milk, stirring until cream cheese is melted.
- Stir in cheese and pasta; toss. Stir in enough reserved pasta water to thin sauce as desired. Stir in basil.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.

- 4 plums, pitted and sliced
- ½ cup balsamic vinaigrette
Side Dish Instructions
- Toss together all ingredients in a bowl.
