Caramelized Pear-and Brie-Stuffed Pastries

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 Bartlett pear, cored and finely chopped
  • 1 (9.5-oz) pkg frozen puff pastry cups
  • 1 (4-oz) round Brie, cut into ½-inch cubes
  • ¼ cup finely chopped roasted and salted almonds

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat; whisk in brown sugar and honey. Cook 2 minutes.
  2. Add pear, and cook, stirring, 8 minutes or until tender.
  3. Meanwhile, bake puff pastry cups according to package directions; immediately press down centers of pastries, and fill with Brie cubes.
  4. Let stand 5 minutes.
  5. Arrange pastry cups on a serving platter; top with pear mixture, and sprinkle with almonds.
