Caribbean Jerk Turkey Burgers with Mango Slaw

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground turkey
  • 1½ Tbsp Jerk seasoning
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and grated
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg tri-color coleslaw mix
  • ⅓ cup mango chutney
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Stir together turkey, Jerk seasoning, apple, green onion and breadcrumbs; shape mixture into 6 patties.
  3. Stir together coleslaw mix, mango chutney and ¼ cup mayonnaise in a large bowl.
  4. Grill patties, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink in centers.
  5. Spread mayonnaise over cut sides of buns. Top bottom halves with patties and desired amount of mango slaw. Cover with bun tops.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 (6-oz) bags sweet potato chips

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Serve chips with burgers.
