Caribbean Jerk Turkey Burgers with Mango Slaw
Sweet Potato Chips
Ingredients
- 1½ lb ground turkey
- 1½ Tbsp Jerk seasoning
- 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and grated
- 3 green onions, chopped
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 (16-oz) pkg tri-color coleslaw mix
- ⅓ cup mango chutney
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Stir together turkey, Jerk seasoning, apple, green onion and breadcrumbs; shape mixture into 6 patties.
- Stir together coleslaw mix, mango chutney and ¼ cup mayonnaise in a large bowl.
- Grill patties, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink in centers.
- Spread mayonnaise over cut sides of buns. Top bottom halves with patties and desired amount of mango slaw. Cover with bun tops.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 (6-oz) bags sweet potato chips
Side Dish Instructions
- Serve chips with burgers.
