Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 2 (24-oz) jars marinara sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 12 oz spaghetti, broken in half
  • 1 (20-oz) pkg frozen meatballs
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Whisk together marinara sauce, water, and Italian seasoning in a greased 13x9-inch baking dish.
  3. Add uncooked spaghetti, stirring to coat with sauce.
  4. Arrange meatballs over spaghetti.
  5. Cover and bake 50 to 60 minutes, stirring halfway through baking time, until pasta is tender.
  6. Uncover, stir again, and top with cheese.
  7. Increase oven temp to broil.
  8. Broil 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and beginning to brown.
  9. Top with basil.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 bunch broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Place broccoli florets in a steamer basket over simmering water; steam 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  2. Transfer to a serving bowl; stir in butter, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
