Salisbury Steak
Smashed Garlic Potatoes and Steamed Green BeansIngredients
- ¾ lb ground beef
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- ½ onion, thinly sliced
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced baby portobello mushrooms
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Combine beef, panko, and egg; shape mixture into 2 (½-inch-thick) patties. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet 2 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet, and keep warm.
- Sauté onion and mushrooms 6 minutes in hot drippings or until tender; whisk together broth, cornstarch, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add mixture to skillet; bring to a boil.
- Return patties to skillet; cover and cook 5 minutes or until patties are cooked through and sauce is thickened.

- 1 (24-oz) pkg refrigerated garlic mashed potatoes
- 1 (12-oz) pkg green beans
Side Dish Instructions
- Heat potatoes according to package directions.
- Heat beans according to package directions; season to taste.
