Italian Chicken Sausages with Apple and Onion
Wilted Garlic Spinach
Ingredients
- 1 (12-oz) pkg fully cooked Italian chicken sausage links, cut into ½-inch slices
- 2 Tbsp olive oil, divided
- 1 Gala apple, chopped
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Cook sausages in 1 Tbsp hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes or until browned. Remove from skillet, reserving drippings in skillet.
- Add 1 Tbsp oil, apple, onion, bell pepper, seasoning, and salt to hot drippings. Reduce heat to medium; cook, stirring occasionally, 10 to 15 minutes or until onion is very tender.
- Return sausage to skillet; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 (6-oz) pkg baby spinach
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp lemon-pepper seasoning
Side Dish Instructions
- Sauté garlic in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Add spinach, vinegar, salt, and lemon-pepper; cook 3 minutes or until spinach is wilted and liquid is almost evaporated, stirring occasionally.
