Creamy Chicken Divan

Steamed Rice and Buttery Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can chicken broth
  • ⅓ cup dry white wine
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat; add chicken, and cook 6 minutes or until done. Add flour; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
  2. Stir in broth and wine, and cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until thickened.
  3. Reduce heat to low; stir in sour cream and cheese.
  4. Microwave broccoli according to package directions; drain, and add to skillet. Cook, stirring, 3 minutes. Season to taste and serve over rice.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1½ cups long-grain rice
  • 3 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen dinner rolls

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook rice according to package directions; season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread butter over frozen rolls; bake according to package directions.
