Cheddar Turkey Burgers with Apple

Ingredients

  • 2 (4-oz) frozen organic turkey burgers (such as Applegate Organics)
  • 2 (0.67-oz) slices reduced-fat Cheddar cheese
  • ½ small Granny Smith apple
  • 2 Tbsp roasted garlic mayonnaise (such as Hellmann's)
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh sage
  • ½ tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 (2-oz) whole wheat hamburger buns
  • ½ cup baby arugula

Instructions

  1. Cook burgers according to package directions for stovetop, topping with cheese during last 2 minutes of cooking.
  2. Thinly slice apple. Combine mayonnaise, sage, and lemon juice. Spread over cut sides of buns. Serve burgers, apple, and arugula on buns.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 Tbsp sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp fresh orange juice
  • ½ tsp honey
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss together all ingredients in a bowl.
