Meatball Mummy Poppers

Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Carrot Sticks

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg fully-cooked frozen meatballs (beef or turkey)
  • 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Ketchup (or use marinara sauce)

Instructions

  1. Bake meatballs according to package directions; then increase oven temperature to 375°F.
  2. Unroll dough; separate into 4 rectangles. Press perforations to seal. Using a sharp knife, cut each dough rectangle into 10 long strips.
  3. Wrap each meatball with 2 to 3 dough strips to look like "bandages." Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Lightly spray each with cooking spray.
  4. Bake 13 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with ketchup.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (32-oz) pkg refrigerated mashed potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1½ lb carrots, cut into sticks
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook mashed potatoes in microwave according to package directions. Stir in butter until melted.
  2. Toss carrot sticks with oil on a rimmed baking sheet; sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until tender, stirring once after 15 minutes.
