Easy Shells and Cheese Soup with Ham
Fresh Pears
Ingredients
- 1 (32-oz) carton chicken broth
- 1 (12-oz) pkg premium shells and cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1 (16-oz) pkg diced cooked ham, drained
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- ¼ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Bring broth to a boil in a medium saucepan; add macaroni, and cook 6 to 8 minutes or until just tender.
- Stir in milk and cheese sauce (from the box). Cook 3 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Stir in ham, Monterey Jack cheese, and pepper; cook until cheese is melted and soup is thoroughly heated.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 4 pears, well chilled
Side Dish Instructions
- Peel and slice pears just before serving.
