Mushroom-Pepperoni French Bread Pizza
Apple, Grape, and Strawberry Toss
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 (28-oz) can whole peeled tomatoes, undrained and chopped
- 1 (16-oz) loaf Italian bread, halved lengthwise
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
- 1 (2.5-oz) pkg sliced turkey pepperoni
- 1½ cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Sauté garlic in hot oil in a saucepan over medium heat 2 minutes or until tender. Add tomatoes; cook 10 to 15 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Bake bread 5 minutes or until toasted. Top with tomato sauce, bell pepper, mushrooms, pepperoni, and cheese.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with basil. Cut into 6 serving-size pieces.

- 2 large apples, sliced (any variety)
- 2 cups seedless red grapes
- 1 cup strawberries, halved
