Spaghetti and Meatball Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (24-oz) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 (32-oz) pkg frozen meatballs
  • 3 cups broken spaghetti pieces
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook onion in hot oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat 6 minutes.
  2. Stir in broth, pasta sauce, brown sugar, seasoning, and garlic salt; add meatballs. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes.
  3. Add pasta, and cook 7 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle with cheese.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (16-oz) loaf French bread

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake bread directly on oven rack 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly toasted.
