Pepperoni-and-Veggie French Bread Pizza
Strawberry-Balsamic Salad
Ingredients
- ½ (8-oz) French bread baguette, cut in half lengthwise
- ½ cup marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ½ red bell pepper, sliced (or use any color)
- ½ (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
- ½ (2.5-oz) pkg sliced turkey pepperoni
- ¾ cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake bread 5 minutes or until toasted.
- Stir together marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and garlic. Top bread with marinara sauce, bell pepper, mushrooms, pepperoni, and cheese.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 head Boston or Bibb lettuce, torn
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- ¼ cup fat-free balsamic vinaigrette
Side Dish Instructions
- Combine lettuce and strawberries in a bowl. Toss vinaigrette with salad just before serving.
