Ingredients

  • 1½ lb lean round steak, cut into 6-inch pieces
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can diced tomatoes with green peppers, celery, and onion
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg chopped onions
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg diced three-pepper mix
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Cajun seasoning

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle steak with salt and pepper. Cook in hot oil, in batches, in a large skillet over medium-high heat 3 minutes per side or until browned.
  2. Place steak in a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker. Add tomatoes, onions, peppers, Worcestershire sauce, and Cajun seasoning. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours. Serve over Fontina Grits recipe.

  • 1½ cups quick-cooking grits
  • 1 cup shredded fontina cheese
  • 1½ Tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook grits according to package directions; stir in cheese, butter, salt, and pepper until blended.
