Herbed Flank Steak
Balsamic Romaine-and-Penne TossIngredients
- ¼ tsp coriander seeds
- ¼ tsp fennel seeds
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¾ tsp chopped fresh thyme
- ¼ tsp lemon zest
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ½ lb flank steak
Instructions
- Place seeds in a small zip-top plastic bag. Crush using a meat mallet. Combine crushed seeds, oil, garlic, thyme, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
- Rub steak with seed mixture. Cook in a cast-iron skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Let stand 5 minutes before thinly slicing.

- ½ (16-oz) pkg whole wheat penne pasta
- 1 (8.6-oz) pkg balsamic salad kit (such as Dole)
- 1 cup organic grape tomatoes

- Cook pasta according to package directions.
