Smothered Hamburger Steaks
Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Green BeansIngredients
- 6 (8-oz) ground beef patties
- 1 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2½ cups beef broth
Instructions
- Sprinkle patties with seasoning.
- Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat to desired doneness. Remove patties, reserving 2 Tbsp drippings in skillet.
- Add onion and mushroom to drippings; cook, stirring, until tender. Add garlic; cook 30 seconds, stirring frequently.
- Add flour; cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Gradually add Worcestershire and beef broth. Stir until smooth.
- Add patties back to skillet; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes, until gravy thickens.

- 1 (32-oz) pkg refrigerated mashed potatoes
- 2 (8-oz) pkg thin green beans
Side Dish Instructions
- Heat potatoes according to package directions.
- Steam green beans according to package directions; season to taste.
