Spaghetti Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • ½ cup chopped celery
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (32-oz) carton chicken broth
  • 2 (14.5-oz) cans diced tomatoes with Italian seasoning
  • 1 (24-oz) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 oz spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook beef, onion, celery, bell pepper, and garlic in a large Dutch oven over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly. Drain and return to pot.
  2. Stir in broth, tomatoes, pasta sauce, sugar, and Italian seasoning; bring to a boil.
  3. Add spaghetti; reduce heat, and simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until pasta is tender. Top with cheese.

  • 1 (6-count) pkg frozen five-cheese Texas toast

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake Texas toast according to package directions.
