Homemade Cheesy Hamburger Pasta

Browned Butter Green Beans with Pecans

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb ground beef
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 (15-oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup frozen whole kernel corn, thawed
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients, except cheese and parsley; bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until pasta is tender. Stir in cheese until melted. Sprinkle with parsley.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (8-oz) pkg thin green beans
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Steam green beans according to package directions.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; cook 2 minutes or until butter has a nutty fragrance and is browned.
  3. Add green beans and pecans; cook 2 minutes. Season to taste.
