Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp Greek seasoning (such as Cavender's)
  • 1 (9-oz) pkg frozen creamed spinach
  • 1 (16-oz) ball bakery pizza dough (or use 1 [15-oz] pkg already-rolled-out pizza dough)
  • 1 (24-oz) jar marinara sauce, divided
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tbsp butter, melted (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cook beef, bell pepper, garlic salt, and Greek seasoning in a 9-inch cast-iron skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly. Drain and transfer beef mixture to a bowl. Wipe skillet clean, and lightly grease skillet.
  2. Meanwhile, cook spinach according to package directions. Stir into beef mixture.
  3. Divide dough in half. Stretch half of dough on bottom and up sides of skillet. Spread ½ cup marinara over dough. Top with meat mixture; sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Top with remaining dough. Crimp edges of dough together. Cut 3 slits in top (or cut decorative shapes or small holes). Coat top with olive oil cooking spray or brush with butter.
  5. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Serve with remaining marinara sauce.
