Greek-Style Beef Gyros
Creamy Yogurt-Cucumber Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1½ lb ground sirloin
- 1 Tbsp Greek seasoning
- 1 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 2 Roma tomatoes, chopped
- ⅓ cup crumbled feta
- 8 iceberg lettuce leaves
- Creamy Yogurt-Cucumber Sauce (recipe follows)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef; cook 5 to 6 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble. Add Greek seasoning and onion; cook 5 to 6 minutes or until onion is tender.
- For each wrap, stack 2 lettuce leaves; fill with beef mixture; sprinkle with tomatoes and feta. Roll up.
- Serve with Creamy Yogurt-Cucumber Sauce.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (17.6-oz) container plain Greek yogurt
- 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cucumber, seeded and grated
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh dill
Side Dish Instructions
- Whisk together yogurt, lemon juice and garlic in a bowl; stir in cucumber.
- Season with salt and pepper.
