Greek-Style Beef Gyros

Creamy Yogurt-Cucumber Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1½ lb ground sirloin
  • 1 Tbsp Greek seasoning
  • 1 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, chopped
  • ⅓ cup crumbled feta
  • 8 iceberg lettuce leaves
  • Creamy Yogurt-Cucumber Sauce (recipe follows)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef; cook 5 to 6 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble. Add Greek seasoning and onion; cook 5 to 6 minutes or until onion is tender.
  3. For each wrap, stack 2 lettuce leaves; fill with beef mixture; sprinkle with tomatoes and feta.  Roll up.
  4. Serve with Creamy Yogurt-Cucumber Sauce.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (17.6-oz) container plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cucumber, seeded and grated
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh dill

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Whisk together yogurt, lemon juice and garlic in a bowl; stir in cucumber.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
