Hawaiian Sirloin Kabobs
Steamed Sugar Snap Peas
Ingredients
- ¾ lb boneless top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp olive oil, divided
- 1 bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces (any color)
- 1 red onion, cut into small wedges
- 1 cup cubed pineapple
Instructions
- Combine steak, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a zip-top plastic bag. Seal and chill 15 minutes, turning once.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove beef from marinade; discard marinade.
- Combine 1 Tbsp oil, bell pepper, and onion in a bowl. Alternately thread beef, bell pepper, onion, and pineapple onto metal or bamboo skewers; season skewers lightly with salt and pepper.
- Grill skewers on a grill rack rubbed with 1 Tbsp oil, covered, 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sugar snap peas
- 1 Tbsp butter
Side Dish Instructions
- Steam peas in a steamer basket over simmering water 2 to 4 minutes or until crisp-tender.
- Transfer to a bowl; toss with butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
