Hawaiian Sirloin Kabobs

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb boneless top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces (any color)
  • 1 red onion, cut into small wedges
  • 1 cup cubed pineapple

Instructions

  1. Combine steak, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a zip-top plastic bag. Seal and chill 15 minutes, turning once.
  2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove beef from marinade; discard marinade.
  3. Combine 1 Tbsp oil, bell pepper, and onion in a bowl. Alternately thread beef, bell pepper, onion, and pineapple onto metal or bamboo skewers; season skewers lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill skewers on a grill rack rubbed with 1 Tbsp oil, covered, 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sugar snap peas
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Steam peas in a steamer basket over simmering water 2 to 4 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  2. Transfer to a bowl; toss with butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
