Sirloin Steak Salad with Crispy Onions

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb sirloin steak, trimmed
  • 1 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen corn, thawed
  • 1 (10-oz) pkg mixed salad greens
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 (6-oz) pkg French fried onions
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup balsamic vinaigrette

Instructions

  1. Cut steak into 1-inch pieces; sprinkle with seasoning.
  2. Melt 2 Tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, 3 to 4 minutes or until butter begins to brown. Add half of steak, and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until browned.
  3. Remove from skillet, and set aside. Repeat with remaining butter and steak.
  4. Add corn to skillet, and cook 4 minutes or until corn begins to brown.
  5. Toss together salad greens, tomatoes, corn, onions, and cheese; add dressing, toss.
  6. Divide mixture among 6 plates; top servings with steak.

  • 1 (8-ct) pkg garlic Texas toast
