Italian Pesto Burgers

Parmesan-Black Pepper Waffle Fries

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 (8-oz) jar pesto, divided
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • ½ (1-oz) pkg fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Stir together beef, ¼ cup pesto, and vinegar. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Shape into 6 patties.
  2. Grill patties, covered, 4 to 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Top with cheese, and grill 1 minute longer or just until cheese is melted.
  3. Stir together mayonnaise and ¼ cup pesto. Spread mixture on cut side of buns. Serve burgers on buns with tomato and basil.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (24-oz) pkg frozen waffle-cut French fries
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake fries according to package directions. Sprinkle with cheese and pepper. Bake 2 to 3 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
