Sirloin Steak Salad

Ingredients

  • ½ lb boneless sirloin steak, trimmed
  • 2 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • ¼ tsp salt, divided
  • 1 (5-oz) pkg spring mix
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • ½ bell pepper, chopped (any color)
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced onion
  • 2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1½ Tbsp olive oil
  • 1½ Tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ⅛ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler. Sprinkle steak with seasoning and ⅛ tsp salt. Place steak on a lightly greased broiler pan.
  2. Broil 7 to 8 minutes or to desired doneness, turning once. Let stand 5 minutes before thinly slicing across the grain.
  3. Combine spring mix, tomatoes, bell pepper, onion, and bacon in a bowl.
  4. Whisk together oil, vinegar, mustard, garlic, pepper, and ⅛ tsp salt; drizzle over salad, and toss. Serve steak over salad.
