Mushroom-and-Gravy-Smothered Meatballs
Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Green BeansIngredients
- 2 Tbsp butter
- ½ (8-oz) pkg whole mushrooms, sliced
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1½ cups beef broth
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ (26-oz) pkg frozen beef meatballs, thawed
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Cook, stirring often, until tender.
- Add flour; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Gradually stir in broth and Worcestershire sauce. Add meatballs, and cook, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes or until gravy is thickened and meatballs are thoroughly heated.
- Serve over Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes recipe.
Side Dish Ingredients
- ¾ lb Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 3 Tbsp butter
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ (12-oz) pkg frozen green beans
Side Dish Instructions
- Place potatoes in a saucepan; add cold water to cover. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Drain and return to pot. Add butter and milk. Mash to desired consistency with a potato masher, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook green beans according to package directions; season with salt and pepper to taste.
