Grilled Steak Salad with Homemade Ranch

Ingredients

  • ½ lb top sirloin steak, trimmed
  • 1 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 ear corn, shucked
  • 2 romaine lettuce hearts, chopped
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ½ cup halved grape tomatoes
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp buttermilk
  • ½ Tbsp chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • ½ tsp dried dill
  • ½ tsp fresh lemon juice
  • ⅛ tsp garlic salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Sprinkle steak with steak seasoning. Grill steak, covered, 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Grill corn 5 minutes per side or until tender.
  2. Let steak stand 10 minutes before cutting into 1-inch pieces. Cool corn, and cut kernels from cob.
  3. Toss together lettuce, bacon, tomatoes, onion, and corn in a bowl.
  4. Whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, parsley, dill, lemon juice, garlic salt, and pepper. Drizzle dressing over salad; toss. Divide between 2 plates, and top with steak.
