Spinach-Pasta Steakhouse Salad with Bacon and Blue Cheese

Ingredients
- 2 slices center cut bacon
- ¾ lb sirloin steak
- ¼ tsp garlic salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme
- 1 (8.5-oz) pouch ready penne pasta
- 1 (8.4-oz) pkg spinach, cherry, almond, and blue cheese salad kit (such as Dole)
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes or until crisp; drain, reserving drippings in skillet. Coarsely crumble bacon.
- Sprinkle steak with garlic salt and pepper. Cook in hot drippings in skillet 5 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Sprinkle with thyme. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing across the grain.
- Meanwhile, prepare pasta and salad kit according to package directions. Stir pasta into salad kit mixture. Top pasta with steak, and sprinkle with bacon. Divide into 3 portions. Serve 2 portions. Reserve remaining portion for a future meal.
