Pasta with Tomatoes and Peas

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg rigatoni
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen green peas
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 1 (1-oz) pkg fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, adding peas during last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain, reserving 1 cup pasta water.
  2. Cook garlic in hot oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat 30 seconds. Add tomatoes, and cook 2 minutes. Add wine, and cook 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in pasta mixture, basil, and cheese. Gradually stir in enough pasta water to make a thin sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
