BLT Pizza
Spring Salad with AppleIngredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg sliced bacon, chopped
- 1 (10-oz) pkg spinach
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (13.8-oz) can refrigerated pizza dough
- 2 Tbsp cornmeal
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 4 Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced (see Note)
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain, reserving 2 Tbsp drippings in skillet.
- Gradually add spinach to skillet, cooking over medium heat until wilted. Add garlic; cook 30 seconds.
- Unroll pizza dough, and press onto a pizza pan sprinkled with cornmeal. Spread pizza sauce over dough; top with spinach mixture, tomatoes, and bacon. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 (12-oz) pkg classic salad mix
- 1 apple, thinly sliced (preferably a sweet, crisp variety)
Side Dish Instructions
- Whisk together oil, vinegar, mustard, and desired amount of salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add salad and apple; toss.
