Five-Spice Pork

Sugar Snap Pea and Rice Noodle Toss

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork tenderloin, cut into chunks
  • 1 Tbsp dark sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Cook pork in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes or until done and browned on all sides. Remove from skillet; keep warm.
  2. Combine soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, lime juice, and five-spice powder in skillet. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened. Return pork to skillet; toss.
  3. Divide pork into 3 portions. Serve 2 portions over Sugar Snap Pea and Rice Noodle Toss recipe. Refrigerate remaining portion up to 3 days. Sprinkle with cilantro.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (8-oz) pkg rice noodles
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sugar snap peas, halved
  • ½ cup matchstick-cut carrots
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • 1 Tbsp dark sesame oil

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions.
  2. Toss together noodles and remaining ingredients. Divide into 3 portions, Serve 2 portions. Refrigerate remaining portion up to 3 days.
