Ham and Cheese Croissant Bake
Carrots and Peas
Ingredients
- 3 large croissants
- 1 (8-oz) pkg chopped cooked ham
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (or use Cheddar)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup half-and-half (or use whipping cream)
- 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 Tbsp honey
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Cut or tear croissants into pieces; place in a greased 11-x 7-inch baking dish or 10-inch deep-dish pie plate. Top with ham and cheese.
- Whisk together eggs, cream, mustard, honey, salt and pepper; pour over ham and cheese in dish. Cover and chill 8 to 24 hours.
- Preheat oven to 325°F. Bake, covered, 35 minutes.
- Uncover and bake 25 minutes longer or until browned and center is set.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 lb carrots, sliced
- 1 (10-oz) pkg frozen green peas
- 3 Tbsp butter, melted
- 2 Tbsp honey
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Side Dish Instructions
- Steam carrots in a steamer basket over boiling water 10 minutes or until almost tender. Add peas; cover and steam 2 to 3 minutes.
- Stir together butter, honey, salt, and pepper. Toss carrots and peas with butter mixture.
