Ham and Cheese Croissant Bake

Ingredients

  • 3 large croissants
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg chopped cooked ham
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (or use Cheddar)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup half-and-half (or use whipping cream)
  • 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut or tear croissants into pieces; place in a greased 11-x 7-inch baking dish or 10-inch deep-dish pie plate. Top with ham and cheese.
  2. Whisk together eggs, cream, mustard, honey, salt and pepper; pour over ham and cheese in dish. Cover and chill 8 to 24 hours.
  3. Preheat oven to 325°F. Bake, covered, 35 minutes.
  4. Uncover and bake 25 minutes longer or until browned and center is set.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 lb carrots, sliced
  • 1 (10-oz) pkg frozen green peas
  • 3 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Steam carrots in a steamer basket over boiling water 10 minutes or until almost tender. Add peas; cover and steam 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Stir together butter, honey, salt, and pepper. Toss carrots and peas with butter mixture.
