Grilled Teriyaki Pork Sandwiches

Sweet Potato Fries with Spicy Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.4-oz) pkg teriyaki pork tenderloin
  • 1 (8-oz) can sliced pineapple, drained
  • 1 red onion, cut into ½-inch-thick slices
  • 6 hamburger buns, split
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (1-oz) pkg fresh basil, chopped
  • ½ head iceberg lettuce, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill pork, covered, 10 minutes per side or until a meat thermometer inserted into thickest portion reads 145°F. Grill pineapple and onion 2 to 3 minutes per side or until charred. Grill buns, cut sides down, 1 minute.
  2. Let pork stand 5 minutes, and thinly slice. Stir together mayonnaise and basil; spread on cut side of buns. Serve pork on buns with lettuce, pineapple, and onion.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (20-oz) pkg frozen sweet potato fries
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika (or use regular)
  • Dash of cayenne pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake fries according to package directions.
  2. Stir together mayonnaise and remaining ingredients; serve with fries.
