Salisbury Steak Casserole
Lemony Sweet PeasIngredients
- 1¼ lb 93% lean ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1¾ cups low-sodium beef broth (such as Imagine)
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 (24-oz) pkg refrigerated garlic mashed potatoes (such as Simply Potatoes)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Cook beef, onion, and mushrooms in a large ovenproof skillet until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
- Stir in flour; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Add broth and Worcestershire. Bring to a boil, and cook, stirring often, until thickened.
- Meanwhile, heat potatoes according to package directions. Dollop potatoes over beef mixture. Transfer skillet to oven, and bake 20 minutes or until potatoes are lightly browned.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg frozen sweet peas
- 1 Tbsp lemon zest
- 1½ tsp fresh lemon juice
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook peas according to package directions; drain well.
- Toss peas with lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
